Joining
us for worship on May 10th...
For more
than ten years, Kathy Dickriede served in full time youth
ministry at Mentor UMC. She and her husband, Dr. Dan Dickriede, having
traveled
throughout Sub-Saharan Africa the past twelve months, are now back with
us in
the East Ohio Conference. Kathy's
husband Danny is an ER doctor in the Cleveland area who has worked with
Doctor's Without Borders.
Kathy serves
as a
Deacon currently doing ministry as a missionary in Africa.
Throughout these next several months, in
cooperation with the UMC East Ohio Annual Conference, and the 3C's
Initiative,
Clinics in West Africa, Kathy &
Danny have setdown the details of new ministries in Liberia as they
look for
local churches to partner with them in ministry in Liberia. Kathy
shares her
life with many people, but specifically with two amazing men: Dan and
her
step-son Murphy. Life is good and she is honored to be sharing in
ministry with Perry UMC.

"The
Man From Aldersgate" is an acclaimed one-man stage performance in which
actor Roger Nelson portrays John Wesley. We, as modern United
Methodists, may
be particularly engaged by experiencing a live presentation which
revisits the very
roots of Methodist tradition.
This event is being hosted by Concord Hope Ridge UMC on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 7:30 PM. The presentation
consists of 2 forty-five minute
acts. Hope
Ridge
will provide refreshments during
the intermission.
Admission is $10 per person at the door or $7 in advance. For
more information or tickets, contact Sue Ritts at (440) 251-0246 or Jeanie
Vargo at Hope Ridge UMC,
(440)
639-2405.

Perry United Methodist
Church is seeking to fill the position of church
keyboardist beginning no later than Sunday, May 3, 2009. The
keyboardist's main responsibilities include preparing and playing
preludes, hymns, offertories, and postludes for the Sunday morning
worship service, as well as, communion meditation music on the first
Sunday of each month, music for holiday services, and participation on
the worship planning team. It is also desired that the keyboardist be
available to serve at weddings and funerals; supplemental pay is
provided for these additional responsibilities. The keyboardist should
